Morning Team.
I need to get some saddle bags and wonder if anyone has a recommendation.
I don't mean the tassly nonsense that C19th cowboys / C21st Harley riders use, nor the rolls of flab hanging over the sides of my too-tight jeans.
Main reason is I really don't want another one of these.

Not sure what you had before but I?ve used Kreiga on my Fireblade.
It was used for a trip to Assen and it didn?t budge once, even when I gave it the beans.
Ouch re your pic :numbness:

Thanks Loupe. The picture is the end result of a rolltop bag disappearing into the hugger courtesy of a broken strap. Two massive skids marks. One black, the other brown.

I have the Ventura for my s1k, different class, doesn’t budge regardless of speed or road and doesn’t enlarge the width of the bike as it sits behind you, can’t speak highly enough of the system

+1 for ventura...... It works....

It bolts onto the bottom of the sub-frame and does not touch or scratch the bike panels.

There is a hot exhaust reason to avoid saddle bags. I burnt a pocket on an old 50L Givi bag with the exhaust on my '12.

To secure Kreiga or anything except the BMW or Ventura system, you NEED a Hepco and Becker plate. The other 2 secure themselves and the BMW is formed to the seat. I'll be using a BMW tail pack for Scotland.

Ventura is Ace. Went to Spain last year with the 50l bag on the back full of tools, locks, chains and other bits and bobs, oh yeh and a few clothes too. Bag and rack was faultless. Just getting on and off the bike Valentino Rossi style took a bit of getting used to though...

Ace Ventura, no less. [emoji848]
Don?t like the look, but can?t ignore the positive reviews.
Thanks Guys. Will investigate.

You are just down the road.... happy to put the rack on the bike and meet up for you to see the rack fitted?? Weather looking pants this weekend, however, I ride every day.... Box Hill is 20 mins aways and Newlands Corner 40 mins.

Yeh I wasn't sold on the look at first tbh, it was more function over looks as I couldn't be arsed with buckles and straps etc., looking over my shoulder to make sure a bag was still there. With the Ventura bag one clip and it's off.

Once the rack was fitted it looked more discrete than I thought it would, bike being black helped I guess but once the bag is off the rack can be removed and replaced with a grab handle or I just run the L brackets without it. I used the Ventura waterproof bag cover too which I though would fly off in an instant but this stood the test of speed and many a deluge in Spain too.

I bought a US Combo 50 from Kreiga: https://kriega.com/bikepacks/uscombo-50

You get some mounting straps with each bag. Cut and bond two together and strap them under the seat. You then use the other two straps already attached to the underside of the seat to give you four mounting points. Seems to work well so far for me. I also like you can expand the set, so buy a 30, add a 10/20, rinse repeat.
