I have to carry laptop bag and work clothes on a daily commute. I'm not a huge fan of tank bags and rucksacks so looking at luggage options. Anyone got an opinion on Ventura bike rack/pack, Krauser Street soft panniers or any other system you can recommend?

I would recommend the Ventura system , piece of piss to take on and off , I have a safepak mesh for mine for security , and best of all you could do a track day with it on
You'd look a total cunt , but you could still do it
 
I'm now liking the look of the SW Motech Blaze panniers as the brackets to hold the bags can snapped out of their mountings when you don't need the bags leaving two mounts where the footpeg bracket mounts. Looks a lot neater than the C-Bow of the Krauser/HB set-up or the L brackets and grab rail of Ventura.
