I?ve never been a wearer of earplugs - I don?t like the feeling, and I?ve always thought that silence (or thereabouts) lends a video-game aspect to riding that?s probably best to avoid.

Then I got some AirPod Pros for Christmas. They?re not especially comfortable in the helmet, but by golly do they make things serene with the noise cancellation.

The connection of bike to phone app is a bit iffy. Sometimes the nav freezes, sometimes it carries on fine but the ?pods stop voicing the directions, even though the noise cancelling still works.

Anyone know if there?s a way to fool the bike into thinking that they?re a helmet rather than run via the iPhone?

You should be able to pair the pods directly with the bike as a Bluetooth headset. I tried this, but went back as it intoduced more problems
