I was surprised at the price. Ilmberger is the HP BMW stuff you already have on the bike and is top quality. I've got it in my head that the replacement ilmberger pan is more like ?900. Anyway, the only thing I noticed on the link pictures is the front bottom of the pan is not one continuous piece. There is a fairing screw at the front lower section which doesn't exist on the pan on your bike. So I'm guessing that it comes as two parts with a cross brace, whereas the original Hp pan runs all the way round. That doesn't mean it won't fit but it's not the same.

Perhaps contact ilmberger via email and ask them the part number for the original if it's important to get it right?

Good work Soof, if need be I will order gloss i presume ?..

Jimmy Mac just text me details of a guy that repaired his, it was a company near him, so I'll try them 1st and see what they say.

Andy, BMW HP Carbon parts are made by Becker and only available to purchase through BMW. During the F1 season they couldn't supply the volume BMW required hence the slow production of HP4 Carbon models, I got this from the head of BMW UK when I met him at Brands Hatch a couple of years back as I was laughingly complaining about the time it took to get my bike.

BMW are building the worlds biggest Carbon fibre plant at the moment in order to produce cars parts but I would think they will also make their own bike bits too in the future.
