Could you explain the diff between probe and laser ? a friend rally-driver told me to buy only probe.

Probe is more accurate, because it goes into the material.

I use this as a cheap but consistent laser gauge. Better than nothing.

Heat Sensors

You only really see people using IR probes for competition and professional use and good ones are really expensive. For trackday use a good quality IR sensor, like the one linked above, is normally sufficient for checking track temperature.
