Ryte lads who uses what and why. I have two...

a RACEX Dial type gauge which has an industry grade B accuracy and a PCI Stick type one. Both read almost identical whatever the pressure.

I bought a Sealey tyre inflator delivered today for my wee compressor

This has a gauge built in, checked it tonight and it's way out...at 40 PSI on both my gauges the Sealey is 5 PSI out........it's a huge amount imo.

Anyhow I was really looking for an inflator with an accurate dial, anyone any recommendations.

When buying a pressure gauge I prefer digital because the indicator is really accurate and you can read it better. Also a good and accurate one can cost a bit more than the usual 6-7 pounds.

Re: Beta Tools

I have a Beta Tools tyre inflator and it's very accurate. I also have a small digital tyre pressure gauge which I've had for years that I always take with me on trackdays.

Looks good Ryan think this is what Im after.. my racex is excellent and often comes top on build quality and accuracy its well regarded so I know that Sealey is way out.

Ive fired down a question to them...in the meantime I need to retrieve the packaging out the bin !

Jeez their 80 odd quid... might just stick with my current arrangement of checking with my racex

Aye i'll stick to my Race X one as well, had it for around 5 years and it has been bang on, i had used a digital one for years for my own bikes despite having always used a dial type when I was spannering and the digital one always read lower by a couple of psi than the dial :)

I use the Oxford, analogue one with the hose and 90deg fitting. Getting on the valves is the ballache without 90degree valves.

Cheers. I've been using an oxford track pump with digital gauge but not sure how accurate it is. Been meaning to buy a separate gauge for a while.
