Lovely and sunny here this afternoon, my lid back at Shark for a replacement strap for the 3rd time... so I donned my new Tour X4 (?190 off bargain!) for a blast on the S1000, speed slightly limited by the helmet peak and B roads a bit gravelly from all the rain we've had but my,my it was good :joyous:

I went out on the GS today and have to agree, very nice out. Still a lot of crap on the smaller roads and nearly got caught out by a lot of loose gravel that had been washed out across the road after a blind corner, but survived, fish lunch at Whitby sitting overlooking the harbour with the sun on my noggin, love it.

Best fish & chips in the land from Whitby!

I'm supposed to be going to Whitby on Sunday for the 'first ride' of the year if the weathers as good as the forecast.. Unfortunately I'm also supposed to be going out Saturday night :(

Lucozade, paracetamol and fresh air on the bike, no better hang over cure!

You and the rest of the world no doubt, so Police will be everywhere, A64 will no doubt be jammed up as there are roadworks on one of the bridges before the A19. Take it easy.

Hmm well left at sunset, freezing fog and icy winds...what a first ride (read: f me that wasn't fun).

Oh dear, no that's not good, you cant see a thing in freezing fog. On the bright side, the suns out here again this morning so hopefully you get the same, no bikes today for me though, doing my usual Saturday on the touchline bit watching my boys play football!

I had my first real ride on the S1 today, 2 and half months after buying it! Haven't dared take it out until today since bringing her home after purchase. Blimey, what a bike. I rode it home in rain mode so taking a risk I dared with sport today. Lol. I'm not sure it's a bike at all and rather a cruise missile rebadged with a BMW emblem. Anyway, I thought I'd go and scrub in the new rear tyre. Not quite as well as I thought it would go, although weather and roads were pretty damn good around here, I'm trying not to push my luck yet! Little more scrubbing left to get right to the edges. I've already set into race mode to try that out next time. Haven't even fitted the slick chip yet so that'll come the time after

roads still a bit too salty for me, we need a good bit rain to get rid of salt
Will be out soon :friendly_wink:
