Recall on 2023 0000112900

Just had a recall on my bike for faulty batch of oil filters may come lose at high rpms i believe

Yeah only really track day bikes since you’re unlikely to be going flat out high Rpm for extended periods on the road

Still we wouldn't want our oil filters coming loose and pissing oil all over the exhaust and rear tyre would we

Mines being done in March can't see me using it before then.then it's due its service in may. I wonder if I can get it done as part of its service

Mine was serviced beginning September and I won’t be riding mine much til march time, so I’ll book in around then

Theres another thread on this topic with more details on the batch numbers etc. Brazil supplied filters numbered 04 I believe.

I bought my bike from main dealer in July.bike was used.just find it strange how this was never checked and only just become a recall now

Mine's on the recall list, really can't be arsed to do a 2hr round trip to check the filter when I can do it myself

I thought of doing my own oil and filter change but since bike is in warranty I’ll let bmw sort it, way I see it, it builds some sort of history with them

2 hours round trip, I wouldn't bother either.

When I rang, was told it was just a check.

Possibly to check part number but if needs changing I would expect this to be FOC
