Noob question about autoblipper on 2015 RR

Hi guys,

I've got a n00b question for you all: When using the autoblipper to go down the gears, does the throttle need to be closed?

The manual says Pro Shift Assist "permits up shifts and downshifts without declutching or closing the throttle", but I've watched 2 reviews that said the throttle has to be completely closed?

TBH I dont even think about how closed it is, just shut the throttle off as you normally would changing down (obviously without manually blipping it) click down a gear and job done. Things get a bit smoother once you're run in and you've got used to it, it also works better the more rev's you use, the only thing on my bike is that it doesn't like shifting at low revs from 2nd to 3rd, the solution being to use the clutch or give it more revs(!) otherwise it really is superb.

Yep - completely closed throttle plus make sure you have no pressure on the clutch lever. There is a micro switch which monitors the clutch and if there is any presser on the lever or the throttle is open at all the auto blipper won't work.

Throttle must be closed, or the auto blip will NOT work.

I have read in various places that it works with a neutral throttle, but mine doesn't, only if fully closed.

Also, your hand must be off the clutch lever, or it will not work either, once you get used to it, it's brilliant.

Autoblipper

Mine only functions properly on a closed throttle and it is brilliant on track.

The blipper is the dogs.....Will never ever ride without one again!
