Got new tyres today went for metz m7rr again
think this is my fifth pair
My question is every time I leave my bike in for new tyres they always say I need new valves.
Is this right or is it just another way to eek out a bit more cash from you
I also needed new front wheel bearing's

Replace every time powders...a few quid for optimum performance go for it. Ive metal ones so would only change infrequently. For the record I love M7RRs but im a Michelin man from years back so ordered a pair of power super sports ... ill give them a write up on here when we open back up for the season...

yep, i go with the 90 degree valves too as theres not much room for pressure testing at the best of times. there's also no need to replace rubber ones every time but once in a while will do as they will perish over time (a few years).

What size do we use Rys? The site says 11.3 however some of the comments suggest thats only a "guide" - Do you know?
I will be replacing my tires next week having rode to work today in rain and had a couple of squirrely moments in rain mode down the motorway slip road. Didnt inspire confidence in riding with them over the winter so will put the PR4's on like I had on the Gen 2 and save the Metzlers for summer/trackdays.....

I got some nice Alpha SBK valves from PrimeFactors. Not the 90degree jobbers but v.nice and there's a discount via the Premier Members scheme

I'm fitting m7rr over winter for the spring and gonna chuck on a set of Bridgeport valves as found them much easier to use on my blade. Anyone know what size valves for OEM wheels on a gen 3?
