New S1000RR Owner

Just registered on this great site after buying my new race bike last week. Previously ran GSXR's ( still have my K7 1000).

rode it this weekend at Anglesey! loved it! Not much to change other than the standard race stuff eg rain light, brake guard, lockwiring. But I am definitely going to do the detent spring mod. hit a few 2>3 false neutrals.

I was at Anglesey on Saturday, which group were you in ?

Mine is red/white, I was in the Orange group

I found the detent spring made the shift too stiff(it took the skin off my toes!).
Check rearsets /gearlever position first,especially running race shift.Even new boots can cause the same problem.BMW may have copied the k5,but they must have got bored when it came to the'box!.
