Were away to Switzerland next Sunday and the reality is kicking in. Luggage wise I have the Motorrad tail bag I bought from Mick and a 40ltr rollbag. Also have Wunderlich tank bag.

Im pretty sure these will all be ok but Im liking the look of that Hepco and Becker plate that fits onto the Pillion bit...they seem to get a good right up. Im very conscious of potentially damaging my paintwork with straps etc off my current set up and havent done a "dry run" as of yet, so probably worrying over nothing but whos got what set up on their Thou or HP... and any pics. Its not immediately clear from H and Bs site which bags fit that plate

If these luggage solutions are way better than what I have I might consider ordering, I have 1 week to get sorted.. meantime a dry run tomorrow would be wise I think...

All comments welcome.. oh and pics..

Thanks lads

Duncs got one of those plates, it is quite impressive and well made. I just put a microfibre cloth between the tailback and cowl, never had an issue with paint rub.

All my pictures have been killed by Photobucket.

Aye.. Ive got the money to buy a new luggage set but to be honest Id rather not... Ill do what you said and put a cloth under neath Jimmy.
Actually my grab rail is dead handy to loop bungee cords on to as well.

I have the Hepco and Becker Sports Rack (plate) and it works really well.
Sits above the tail section of the bike so no scratching at all
Also fitted some Kriega luggage loops to the plate and they give good anchors points to the plate.

Did you drill the Rack Julestys ? Or do the luggage loops have a facility built in to the Rack...

Hi,

I drilled them onto the rack, really easy to do and really secure
can post pics if that helps

Done a dry run with my luggage I'll swap my 40ltr Lomo bag for a 30 lts as it will sit atop the tail bag better with bungees..... So quite happy with my set up, just waiting on a lead from Stephen to charge up my phone on the go..

So far I've done and O and F, new pads, fresh fluid, new rear tyre.. should see me OK.. bikes looking good..With Luggage.jpg

+1 Hepco and Becker. Quality kit. The plate doesn't touch the bikes paint and with Kriega tail pack fitted with Kriega loops it's such a secure system...

Bikes looking great Stuart, glad all the prep is going to plan!

I agree that H&B plate/Kriega combo looks sweet ... think I'll have to invest in one in due course ...
