I'm looking for an intercom that has a specific functionality but am finding it very difficult to locate what I need. My current intercom (F4MC) allows me to connect to a smart phone or to a GPS to get navigation instructions OR it allows me to talk to a pillion or fellow rider. I don?t seem able to find an intercom that will allow me to talk to a pillion and have the navigation instructions fed in without having to swap modes on the headset. This feels like a fairly basic requirement that lots of riders must have. It is not practical to change intercom modes everytime you approach a junction and want the sat nav guidance. To be honest, what I really mostly want are speed camera alerts in my ear without having to loose the ability to talk to my mates or missus when out on a ride. Google maps can be programmed to output in phone mode that will interrupt the intercom but Google Maps does not have speed camera alerts and the many sat nav apps i've tried don't appear to have the ability to output in phone mode, just standard bluetooth (which requires a mode swap on the headset).

A simple audio mix is all that's required. Does anyone know of an intercom that does this? The new interphone tour doesn't that's for sure, and I'm checking Sena and Scala but cant find what I am looking for. Any expertise out there?

Many Thanks
TIM

I use the Uclear HBC200 which work perfectly the navigation instructions come through fine without changing modes and we both hear them, I do use a Garmin sat nav though not phone, it does come down to the priority and the way items are paied with the units.
for instance an incoming phone call will overide everything, intercom speach will overide music etc.
With the Uclear you can share music.
I did also buy the Uclear pro mics which enable us to talk even at autobahn speeds although at 140 mph it was alittle difficult to hear, but 90 - 100 is fine, amnd we use ear plugs

I think the Cardo PackTalk covers the features you want. I could be wrong, I only use G-maps.

I have the Sena 20s, it multitasks, great sound, does it all and will connect with most if not all headsets not just sena sets

That's brilliant. "Sena 20S Audio Multitasking[emoji769] technology allows you to have an intercom conversation while simultaneously listening to music, FM radio, or GPS. No longer do users have to deal with the frustrations of interruption-based audio functions of past Bluetooth communication devices. Now audio features won?t interrupt each other but simply overlay for a smooth listening experience. Enrich your ride with interweaving audio sources." That isn't what the dealer told me, so it looks like that's exactly what I'm looking for. Nice one DCB!

If it doesn't interrupt everything for comms that seems wrong. Well I want to listen/talk on comms without other distractions.

I find mine very good just kind o fades in and out when necessary and you can continue to talk, listen to music whatever

DCB are you using dedicated GPS device or smartphone as your navigation when it fades in and out. The issue revolves around the HFP Bluetooth profile that most motorcycle GPS do use but most car GPS and smartphone apps don't.
