Any preferences?

I am also looking at these for the front as Watsens are not available until December

I think someone on here has them, any thoughts?

Cheers

The tail light if you get the decent one's the first link looked like them. Be aware that from any distance, you cannot tell which way you are indicating. I took mine off and sold them. depends on how you feel about other road users knowing which way your going?

The 360 signals are nicely made, I didn't actually install mine as I found something better so sold em.

Cheers

I've got the cheap chinese tail light from ebay bought 20 months ago, and its still working flawlessly. Cost me £46 inc PP. At the time the ones in the UK were £99.99 and were identical, they hadn't even changed the sticker on them, just bought in bulk from china and upped the price for UK market. I've also got Watsen's and its a match made in heaven. Looks like bike has no indicators at all

Emailed watsen and lions like I'm waiting till dec, for them do you need anything special to fit them?

Mine was a chinese one too, around £20. Not had a single fault with it.

That's mine, from same seller as well. Price seems to have come down £5 too. It's also slightly more 'smoked' than it looks in picture but isn't Dark smoked.

Looking on ebay there is a darker smoked version at £49 or clear lens at £34 from two different sellers.

So:

Clear: £34
Smoked: £42
Dark Smoked: £49

Photos taken today of mine http://s1000rrforum.co.uk/showthread.php?3233-hi-all-new-owner-here-advice-please/page2 but admittedly its abit dirty to actually see the tail light (who needs a tail light anyway? I'm going forward not backwards)

At the time I bought mine (2 years ish) there was only 1 other website selling them in EU/US and from there website photos looked absolutely identical to the chinese ones, even to the colour of the wires used. Plus it was £100 with postage, so i went cheap chinese and yet again have found it to be spot on.

The ebay seller begoniasale is the £34 same as mine and i've ordered several parts from them for different bikes in the last few years and never had a problem. Product was always as described, always arrived and always worked.

I never fitted the resistors (gave em to a mate). Works fine and flashes at normal rate. The original rear tail light was LED and so are the BMW HP indicators so perhaps thats why.

I also have the Watsen front indicators that have the resistance built into the length of wire. But I fitted the tail light before i got my Watsen's.

I'll take a photo later or tomorrow, showing under pillion seat, to show that no resistors on it.

ross that bike needs a clean can see the light just. thats spot on for me can you see the indicators flashing ok

Jeez, I wouldn't of pegged you for fitting Chinese stuff N30.

More people need to come over to the Dark soy Side.
On the gsxr I fitted a lot of chinese stuff, But decided to spend more on the beemer lol. Didn't see the point in an american/italian/german tail light as no doubt they would be sourced from china anyway.

All my mates say the indication direction is clear to see, my wife reckons is not but what does she know.

If you have a strict MOT station then it probably won't pass due to the fact indicators are suppose to be a minimum width apart, but it would be a 5 minute job to add old indicators back on to get through a MOT, my fronts wont pass an MOT either because the Watsen's aren't DOT approved. Luckily my MOTer will turn a small blind eye to minor details like that as long as the indicators are functional
