Indicator not turning off

Happened at the weekend, and only happens when riding. If I turn the engine off back on and try the indicators then, there fine and can stop them, but when on the move they turn on but won't disengage.

Do we think it's the switch gear? Should I be contacting BMW to see if they'll replace it for free?

Whenever I've experienced or read about the switch gear failure it has been with the switchgear not activating functions rather than not cancelling. If it is switchgear they should pre order the parts without needing to see the bike first (that's what mine does).
