If I understand correctly, the valve is only there to limit noise. And before it opens, the bike is running on the little moped size pipe up to around 5k rpm. So, any benefits in fixing the valve in the open position?

De-catted my gen3 but kept the valve. The valve opens almost immediately on opening the throttle increasing pressure. On track days, at a steady 7000rpm it read 97db at noise check.
