Guys help please. I'm off to Spain first thing Wednesday so this one is a bit urgent. Bike won't start, rapid clicking from rear shock, DDC! on dash and yellow warning triangle illuminated. Obviously I'll phone the dealer in the morning but not a lot of time to fix it. This bike is only 6 weeks old having been replaced 1st August. 2200 miles. Anyone come across this before? Things to try?
Thanks
TIM

Disconnect the battery for 20mins. Check connections, reseat connectors.
If that doesn't clear it then you've probably got a part failure so it will be dealer only.

I had this error and it was a part of the loom had been worn and was shorting against the frame. I hope your problem is not that.

All is well thankfully, or will be. BMW assist came and diagnosed a faulty battery, causing the DDC to not get correct voltage and give the "DDC!" error and EWS to stop the bike firing. Don't I feel a ****, could have tested that myself. You don't expect it on a six week old bike though and all lights were on so no sign. He didn't have a battery of course, but it fired up with jump leads and I'm sure I can find a dealer with one to swap me before I go. Thanks gents!

Glad you are sorted. Where in Spain you riding? I've just got back from Almeria and Andalucia

Not sorted yet, but now I know it's only battery rather than what I thought might be trip ruining, I can get one before I go hopefully. Taking leisurely ride through picos de europa before heading over for Aragon GP...
