Hi,

There is a lot of travel on my rear brake pedal (2012 model) before it starts to operate. It's been like this since new according to the previous owner (who I know well). Is this normal? It's just that according to the workshop manual there should only be about 2mm of free play between the brake level and the 'stop'.

cheers
Simon

Adjust it. Simple job to do by increasing the length of the rod between lever and cylinder. Do not over do it though or after a few miles your back wheel will lock up.

Second that. Brake heats up easily with what would be normal adjustment on say a gixxer. Even cleaned up with new pads and fluid. And checked disc runout. Also no pedal stop adjustment on hp rearsets. Not great considering cost.

Ok thanks. I'm just about to fit Gilles rearsets so will look out for that.

Cheers
Simon
