Yes, Gilles. Nicely made. Bit of a vanity item, but I do filter London traffic. They might have reduced bar vibration. But I did suspension, exhaust and filter change at the same time. would be great if someone could verify this. - Sent from Mobile Device

BMW HP Brake Lever Guard

I have a HP Brake Lever Guard fitted. I fitted one as I've used them previously having witnessed numerous incidents at trackdays and race weekends where people have inadvertently knocked brake levers causing accidents and some very expensive damage.

When I had my little ding at donnington the brake lever was hit that hard that it was bent back towards the bar, but the abs stopped me getting put over the bars or dropping the bike.

The Gilles one from Performance parts uk is good ( lot cheaper than the official Bmw branded one but identical). Mine was snapped off at the airport by a tosser... But I've replaced it as filtering in London I occasionally knock it on traffic cones and mirrors, small children etc . Saves my fingers & knuckles and stops the throttle jerking. ... And it looks pretty cool. ;0

Hi,just a quick question for you.

Do the lever guards from Performance Parts fit exactly the same as the BMW HP4 lever guards?

One of my lever guards got damaged in traffic,and I dont want to pay BMW prices for a replacement guard.

Is if just the lever guard that you get off Performance Parts,or do you get the black middle weight piece and bolt too?

The HP colours are different so so they are not an aesthetic match but are a technical one. I assume you can get spares of the front section alone...

Was quoted over 300 euro for a set of HP4 lever guards by a BMW dealership here in Ireland.
Vines in Guildford want over 200 quid sterling for a set.
