Hi, happy new year!!

Yesterday, I saw that when I start the bike the lean angle displays dissapears for all the ride.

I stop the bike, turn on the key, the lean angle is in the display in 00 numbers, but when I start the motor, the lean angle digits dissapears. What happens?? New issue?? F**k!!

I have revised the terminals in the battery and are good pressed. The bike is one year old and 4200km. 😢

Hi Doc...happy new year! This is a known issue...lots of talk about it on the US forum. I had exactly same issue with my '15 and BMW had numerous attempts to fix mine with software updates/switch gear replacements etc but unsuccessful :( ...tbh i gave up trying to get it fixed as my bike had some other more serious issues to address.
Some people of the US forum mentioned the battery terminals as a possible cause but i don't believe that's related as my battery terminals were secure. Someone on there mentioned they had their clocks replaced for a cosmetic problem (white dust in display - another common problem caused from pcb burning out) which happened to fix the lean angle display problem so maybe the issue is in the dash??
I'm hoping i'm not going to have the same problem with my '17! Hope you manage to get it sorted....please keep us posted? ;)

Terminals are ok because I revised it. When I press the start button appears some horizontal lines in the place of the km/h and then apperas the 0km/h and dissapears the bank and lean angle digits. Uffff!! Very angry!!

I'd just throw it back to your dealer until they've sorted it?! Mine was intermittent so i was struggling to get my dealer to take it seriously, but if your's is playing up all the time it should be easier to diagnose?? Please let us know how you get on? ;)

I have the same issue,

my bikes booked in for Wednesday to be looked at! I just turn the bike off and back again and the lean angle appears

I have a video as well of it (a couple) so that the dealer can not push back on it! (well at least try too)

I had video of mine too but the dealer still couldn't fix it! :concern: ....hope you dealer is more successful ;)

Somebody says it dissapears with new battery. My bike says 12,4v with ignition ON.

I bought an Optimate 6, connected to the battery, tested, charged and the problem is solved.

As mentioned a few times on here checking you have a fully charged battery with secure terminals is the first thing to do if faced with odd electrical problems with the Sthou
