Still nice & dry & sunny here in Buckinghamshire & I'm commuting daily on my Tyco rep & enjoying every minute of it:cool:
The HP2 is laid up in the garage, nice weather only for that little beaut........
Got me thinking though, who's still on their bikes? And how long do you ride for? All over winter?
I rode my old HP4 Carbon all over last winter right up to end of Feb, it was so mild.

I commute all year round
The only time I don't is if it's snowing
I've been caught out a few times in the
snow though
The worst driving conditions that I've been on the bike was freezing fog, even travelling in a straight line the bike was all over the place scary doesn't cover it, never again

Used to ride all year round on my old cb500 or bandit, got caught out bad one drizzly Saturday nightshift, skies cleared and temp plummeted. Black ice on all roads and being Sunday morning council not been out when I left work, scary ride home.
Don't ride thru winter on new bikes, first sign of salt on roads and that's it until spring.

still on the bike daily commuting, soon as the first salts down bike will be away , ridden right through the winter dailly on the sthou and it handled it very well , but the constant cleaning due to the salt is hard work , can't be arsed with it anymore tbh.

i'm getting close.. done 2 years full on the S1k (previous 7 on cbr 600fs ) and although no dramas, the bike is looking tired for it round the edges and yeah it's tiring and expensive But I don't have a choice though as London commuting from south coast in a car or train is worse than death. So i'm sticking at it and getting a pressure washer and more ACF50

bike done 32k now...

Still love it

Pretty much the same as other people on here. The first day that the salt hits the roads, my bike will be away in the garage.

All day every day..... the only thing i enjoy and makes me smile before getting to work in Central London.....the commute in.... will invest in the
ACF-50 treatment ... as long as there is no snow !!

Anyone got ultra secure parking in C. London? I wouldn't mind doing some commutes if I had somewhere to park.

Still using the S1K when I get a chance, will put it to bed in a month or so, I'm lucky enough to also have a GSA so that'll give me my biking fix until the spring

Nice to see so many of us still out on em.........
I'll carry on till i get a spot of snow or really bad ice & I'll take a day off.
Thing is, I get so ****** frustrated in traffic in a car it drives my blood pressure thru the roof so I'd rather ride any day, even when its pissing down.
Must admit I'm pretty bad at looking after things, bike stays filthy 'til it has to go to Wollastons for work, then its treated to a clean!

I don't commute often on my bike, but I do ride it all year round and in any weather just for pleasure. Why the hell not, skin's waterproof.

I am still going too, wrapped up a bit more and making good use of the hand warmers, when I see the salt appearing all too bed until April

I only managed to get ON my bike on Tuesday after a 4 week lay of due to surgery, so I'll no be staying OFF it just because its nippy. I'll be out any time I have free all through the winter. If I ride on salt it just means an extra half hour jet washing the bike and spraying a tin of ACF-50 over it.

Glad to see positive use but agree with most as soon as salt is out my bikes in

Seems a bit different to the 1299 Panigale page I was following but I'm not shocked seems you are real men.

I'm managing a 80 mile round commute each day in the NW

2300 miles in 3.5 weeks
Pilot road 4 wet tyres fitted at new
Washed twice
Chain cleaned once
Too much riding to wash it 👍

I gave the hp4 its pre winter hibernation wash yesterday but I could be tempted back out on it if it stays mild and dry. Seems a shame to wait until April to enjoy it again. There's a lot of mud on the roads from farming at the moment which is putting me off.

I'm not tucking mine away at the mo Soof..can't believe the weather up here for October, today was lovely...I'm heading to Oban on Saturday for probably my last seafood feast...John and the boys shut 1st Nov till March 2017.

I reckon I can just about screw another blast out of my tyres...no pint in fitting my new ones till start of next season........heres hoping for good weather
