Hi finally got round to fitting an Austin racing exhaust to the S1000rr, just need the weather to cheer up a bit so I can test it!
Don't suppose anyone knows the torque value for the exhaust clamp? Cheers20170114_120413.jpg

Had a GP1 on mine for 18 months now, no noisier than std really with baffle in but louder popping and bang although the link pipe blues up baffle in after a while, quite like the look:

Yer I like the look, can't wait to hear it, haven't fitted the baffle

Looking good.
I have the same can and originally removed the baffle but it's loud and draws unwanted attention when winding it on.
The fuel just drains out of it too when the baffle isn't fitted, I had to fill up for the return journey when it was normally fine to do on one tank previously.

Oh never realised that it made a difference to the fuel consumption have to keep a eye on it, cheers

The workshop manual says 24nm for the rear silencer to exhaust manifold, but that is the oe one, I presume it would still be a valid value as the manifold is the same.

...and 19nm for the bolt used to attached to the footpeg.

I know it's not relevant to anything but I've just found out why your username is what it is mate. Bit slow on the uptake lol.

Lol that did take you a long time! I thought having the username "ring stretcher" might give folk the wrong impression....
