Just bought a AGV K3 Rossi Misano 2011 WTF replica, lovely looking helmet fits fine the only issue is I can't see far enough ahead when riding my Bike. You need to sit upright to see, so a great helmet for car racing and Kart racing but no use for sports bike racing or riding. None of the reviews I read mention this serious issue. Certainly didn't expect this issue with it being a motorbike race rider replica, serves me right I suppose for buying on line . Got a Shoei a bit like this but not as bad but I use to use that mainly for cars and kart racing due to this vision issue riding my bike , perhaps it's me and I am somewhat deformed like the hunch back of Notre Dame lol . Any body here use an AGV K3

I had a K3 with a Union Jack design on the back a couple of years back. Similar issues to yourself, found myself pushing the chin guard up the way when tucked in at speed just so I could see out the top of the visor, which I found to be too narrow.
Not really ideal having to ride one handed just to see where your going.
I have quite a square forehead too and found the helmet wasn't comfortable in this area either, I've tried other AGV's and have found I just don't have the right shape of head.
Top quality product though.
Just a wee question Toan, did they only make these helmets in 2011? If so, going by manufacturers guidelines most of its safe usable life has elapsed. 7 years from manufacture or 5 years from first use.

Not trying to be a killjoy, just a question.

2011 is just the era of the Rossi design this helmet is date stamped 2016 So the design is from Misano 2011 there are other Misano designs from other years . A couple of friends have tried it on too and can't see either so it's not just us Jimmy who are deformed, clearly the designer had a deformed head . After some more research on the net, which I should have done first ,it turns out it's made in China so really just a flash looking 50 quid helmet that doesn't fit unlike my viper 50 quid helmet which I can see fine with.

Clearly I have a couple of options I can either buy a helmet that I can see out of or buy a Harley and ditch the BM lol

Going to add some padding to raise the helmet a quick test with a face flannel as wadding on the top of my nonce seems to help alot it's either that or lowering my eyes 1/2 inch

When I did my first tyre change on the S1RR to Metzler M7RRs I got a ?50 Dainese/AGV discount voucher. I put this towards an AGV K5, which is exactly the same design as the K3, but with a different shell material. I had exactly the same problem with vision. The helmet fits fine and is very comfortable, with some really good design features, but it is not suitable for use on a sports bike. The Upper edge of the visor aperture is deeper to accommodate the sun visor and when your head is tilted forward it interferes with your line of vision. Otherwise, great helmet for a naked or adventure bike.

My viper helmet has a visor and that's fine clearly the designer forgot about sports bikes . I nearly bought a Gut Martin K5 the other week too at ?250

Seems odd that they sell them as motorcycle race replicas when they are only fit for sit up and begs

Toan, I don't know where you live but the best thing to do is go to somewhere with a big selection of lids like Sportsbikeshop and with a budget, forget about brands and designs, try every lid on you can afford, then try them all on again and go for the one that fits the best (and that you can see out of!)

Absolutely. And if you can, try the helmet on while sitting on your bike or one that's similar in seating position. I've just treated myself to a new Arai Chaser X. I'll post up a quick review when I've given it a decent test.

I have a very similar issue with my Schuberth C3. It's got a very broad brow to accommodate the sunvisor which is exacerbated by the fact I wear glasses. When I'm trying to hug the tank (as best as I can) and crane my head upwards to see wtf I'm going either the helmet brow is in the way, or because the back of the lid gets caught on my 'hump' (esmerelda!) meaning that the more i try and raise my head, the harder the helmet pushed my glasses into my face :( On top of that, the schuberth has a pinlock installed, so on the odd occasion that I do get into a position where I can see, my good vision is between the upper rim of my glasses, the top edge of the pinlock and the visor brow (or about the width of a gnats cock in old money).

That XR is starting to look even more attractive...

Get the right helmet for you and your problems will be solved, in winter or on long trips I sometimes wear sunglasses as I ditch the black visor for a clear one on my Shark Race R pro carbon and I've no issues at all whether I'm wearing leathers (with hump) on my S1K or full winter kit on my GSA

I've used anti slip matting (you see it on dashboards, not the carpet type lol) inside one of mine, works a treat.

The one that fits best is my old one lol I just liked the look of the Agv Rossi one

This is bringing back memories, whilst riding from the Chechz Republic over to Poland me and my pal Kenny stopped at the massive Aldi that sits near the old shot up border crossing. I bought, along with my food a pair of women's cycling shorts for a euro. I was immediately asked by my friend "What the F*€k" are you buying that for?".
Five minutes later after a quick trim with my Swiss Army knife scissors I had the memory foam cushion that was in the crotch neatly placed in the forehead part of my helmet. Was a massive help, definitely worth the slagging I got for making a '**** hat'. Lol
