Hi all,

I see the 2015 S1k finally has an 'Intake Air' Temp reading...

But can someone confirm 100% the pre-2015 S1k's don't have this? It's a pretty annoying & sketchy feature to not have in the winter time when it's icy... and all aftermarket stick-on / bolt on temp gauges are ugly as sin and look more at home on the kitchen...than on my dash.

Love to hack my ECU / dash somehow to get to it if there's a sensor hiding dormant in there! All other BM models have it... why not the S1?

Argghhh Booo

I've not seen one on an sthou. My other bmw has one and it is about as useful as a chocolate teapot. I have ridden in sub zero with it reading 8c and every permutation in between. I get more accurate results by opening my lid :).

Probably all new bikes will have one, the S1k 2012 and Panigale 2013 Deff do.
Ambient air temp sensor - they are required for engine management - possibly the reading is not relayed to the dash though, I can't remember.

I have a 2015 s1000rr and I don't have one unless it's on one the numerous settings u can use

My old zzr1400 had one, but can't really see the point as ill know the temp by how big my bo!!ox are

2014 model here and it deinitely doesn't have one. More to the point, why would you want one? Are you cold? Then it's cold out.
