Anyone done a rear underslung caliper conversion

Thanks, i have seen them and did consider swapping some wheels but that'll lead to other issues. More than happy to sort the little bits out over the next couple of months as a mini winter project.

Anyone done a rear underslung caliper conversion

Exactly that, It's a standard 2015 swingarm adapted by Harris. This one was reportedly used by Lee Hardy Racing in BSB. The caliper hanger and end plates are all attached to the swingarm so stay in place when the wheel is removed. They're also machined to support the wheel as its dropped in...

Anyone done a rear underslung caliper conversion

My little bit of success at croft

Well done Kylezx7r, cracking read and i'm definitely interested to see how it all works out for you.

Anyone done a rear underslung caliper conversion

Oopppss, there are a couple of threads on here that i hold responsible for my rather rash decision to impulsively purchase this when it came up for sale. Like Kylezx7r race thread i've been told (being a larger than average build) that running the wheelbase slightly longer and lower will help...

    Gen3 blipper not working

So, it ended up being the clutch switch causing the issue. Even with the standard lever refitted, it was hit and miss whether the quickshifter / blipper would work. A cable tie round the bloody thing locking it closed sorted it on the last day.

    Gen3 blipper not working

So, on arrival this morning, i put the bike in gear and tried to start it with the clutch out and it tried to fire... mmmm Looking at the micro switch connections, there is just enough play in the alpha lever to stop the switch fully engaging. It looks like there's some adjustment there but for...

    Gen3 blipper not working

Thanks for all the suggestions guys, you've given me some things to try this morning. Currently neither quickshift or blipper work. Actuator arm was fitted, i can hear the microswitch click when i pull the lever in but i will double check before i run it up on the stand. Should the...

    Gen3 blipper not working

All, I need to pick the collective knowledge of the forum re the quickshift/blipper on the gen (2015.) I'm currently out at Jerez and mine is not working. It's on within the settings on the dash & i've tried switching it off /on. Is there a reset mechanism for it? Cheers Lee

2015 s1000rr throttle tube replacement question

Thanks guys. I've sourced a hanger from PDQ which fits ok and significantly stronger than the carbon one. Bike is nearly sorted now. Taking the opportunity to repair / repaint some of the fairings that took a few knocks but then it'll be done.

2015 s1000rr throttle tube replacement question

I'll look at buying all the Alpha stuff over winter when funds allow. It looks like a short term bodge of the throttle tube will see me through to then. As for the hanger, direct replacement seems the only option.

2015 s1000rr throttle tube replacement question

Just seen similar. Looks like a direct replacement might be my only option for both.

2015 s1000rr throttle tube replacement question

I had a little off yesterday at Snetterton & i must say the Alpha footpegs, clip ons, frame and swingarm protectors did a marvelous job of saving the bike from too much damage. Their bling factor is matched by their effectiveness. However i need some advise on a couple of parts that didn't...

    Loose Battery Teminal

I will be doing similar from now on. Can't say it's something i've ever had to check before.

    Loose Battery Teminal

I'm probably posting up something that's well known but thought i'd share my last couple of days of "fun" with my RR. Luckily, i guess, i decided to put all the road gear back on my gen3 and give it a bit of a shakedown run or two after what feels like a long hibernation through winter. All in...

    Aragon

Used him in Portimao, the sport is getting fast enough so he can't take his hands off the bars and provide signals. I thoroughly enjoyed it, hence rebooking for Aragon. I found his tuition excellent but he doesn't like wasting time. He got me time down by nearly 10 sec a lap over the course of...

    Aragon

I'm also off to Aragon in May with NL. Not been before but have booked Simon Crafar for some tuition on day one. It will either get me going well or end spectacularly.
