    Bagster / Baglux

What year and colour is your S1000rr - I have a brand new, unused bagster tank cover in black to fit the 2012-14 model years for sale (changed the bike before I got a chance to use the cover) New price for these covers is about ?100, will sell for ?75. I live in Guernsey Channel Islands but can...

    Where are my straps???

Only 2 straps at the rear of the seat because BMW think you should use the slots in the pillion footrests for a forward bag strap, that's what I was told by my local dealer when I asked the same question when I got my 2014 model. Probably easy enough to make some up and fit them or you could see...

L.e.d indicators flash rate to fast

Check the wiring for the resistors, they need to be across the circuit, postitive to neutral, not in line

    Useless rear hugger

My mate had a powerbronze hugger on his 2012 and in my opinion it was feckin horrible, really didn't suit the bike. Quality seemed ok though. It does seem difficult to find a decent looking hugger thats larger than standard for reasonable money though for some reason

New Section thanks and a couple of hotel recommendations from 2014 trip to Europe

As I suggested this section for the forum I kind of feel duty bound to be the first to post. Thanks of course to the moderators for thinking it was a good enough suggestion to create a new section in the forum. My thoughts were to provide a spot for anyone not only to discuss, trips, whether...

    Rear Flush Mount Indicators

The flush indicators on this thread are the motodynamic items for the 2012-2014 model, they fit in vent holes in the tail unit so won't fit the 2015. Motodynamic don't (or didn't when I last looked) make flush mount indicators for the front. The Watsen design items mentioned only seem to...

    Rear Flush Mount Indicators

I've got a set fitted to my 2014, it's a black bike so the flush indicators blend in really well being smoked. The good thing is the wiring for them connects to the original connectors, no cutting/splicing wires. With standard front indicators you don't need to fit the supplied resistors but fit...

    Seat Cover Options

I left my original seat cover on. The Luimoto cover will come with a sheet of thin pink (anti-static I think) plastic which the instructions say you should glue to the seat foam if the oem seat cover is removed, this stops water that gets trough the luimoto cover soaking into the seat foam. If...

    Seat Cover Options

It's a pretty straight forward job really. You can leave the original seat cover on and just put the new cover over it. You will need a staple gun, preferably an air operated one (just so much easier than a hand type). There are videos on the Luimoto website on how to do the job, just take a bit...

    Seat Cover Options

In the the UK Speedycom are the supplier for Luimoto seat covers - http://www.speedycom.co.uk/shop/home.php?cat=962 Mark at Speedycom was most helpful, it is possible to modify the colours used too, for my black bike I had the stripes on the side changed to red & white and the contrast...

    Stingy tool kit

Picked my 2014 bike up in July and it came with the tool kit in the black bag, not much of a tool kit but you can actually do most simple stuff to the bike with it. By the way, the black plastic insert thingy in the kit which I couldn't find a use for to start with is actually used inserted in...

    Seat Cover Options

While it may not be of any help to your decision making, I got a luimoto cover in the same style as the one you show but had the colours modified to better suit my black bike and the quality is very good and worth the money so I would recommend the luimoto option. I'm suprised the BMW confort...

    ride height adjuster

Hell, if I put a seat 20mm higher I wouldn't be able to touch the ground !!! While the seat option will probably make the bike feel different due to the change in ride position and higher overall rider/bike centre of gravity it isn't changing the steering geometry.

    ride height adjuster

I flipped mine but I'm not sure it's made a massive difference, maybe a little quicker to turn. I tried it as I saw a video on Youtube with some guy explaining the sag set up on the 1000rr and he reckoned that it needed to be flipped to get the suspension sitting in a better position with the...

    Accuracy of Speedo

I know that generally speedos will 'over read' but in this day and age and the fact that all speedos are electronic there's no reason why the speedo on any bike in standard trim shouldn't be spot on. In the days of cable drive and speedos full of plastic cogs in was understandable that a speedo...

    Accuracy of Speedo

Just bought a new Garmin Zumo 590 which I've tried out to get used to it on my 2014 1000rr and I was suprised to see the bike speedo reads about 5-6mph fast, anyone found the same and if so has anyone done anything about it? I've looked on the Healtech electronics website and there doesn't seem...

Could I have broken my headrace bearings?

It would seem odd to me that the problem has arisen after the service. If fitting the bars has caused a problem, which I very much doubt, you would have had problems soon after fitting and most certainly before the service. I've fitted Helibars to my 2014 bike at around the same mileage as you...

    New S1000RR rider

Hi All New 1000RR rider saying 'hello'. Totalled my 09 Fireblade in June and got my brand new black 1000RR a few weeks ago now. Only covered couple of hundred miles but loving it so far. Had the accessories package fitted, light smoke Zero Gravity Corsa screen and a few black screws to replace...
