    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

This is what I'm talking about I suggest watching the whole video for all the info. Check out 7:40 for 2nd gear pull Check out 9:30 for a quick race with a tuned M1K Check out 20:10 for 2nd gear restriction on dyno I feel like I have the same dead spot in second. Later on after the tune the...

Possible to see a graph portion when bike is upright?

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Can this data be obtained at a dyno session? like do they have access to all these channels? I know they have throttle grip position but do you think they can see the actual throttle position at the throttle bodies? would be amazing if they did. Otherwise it would require a serious datalogger...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

I don't want anything man. Just a nice discussion and opinions on the matter. Simple. This is only to get info from members who have faced the issue, members who have solved it, members who haven't, and members who have some valuable info to share that's it. This is important because it will...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Hi Coyote and thanks for chipping in Frankly I find your comment a bit petty and shallow, missing the entire point of the conversation. I'm sorry but you have completely misunderstood everything I have said. I have never wheelied a motorcycle or performed any stunts aside from the occasional...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

That is interesting stuff because it is a way to see what we already know on a graph and understand it a bit better. Amazing tech really. But the fact of the matter remains that in the case of throttle restriction felt on the BMW is sort of doing that PREVENTIVELY as opposed to the anti wheelie...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Yes of course I did and I loved it and I still do. But the test ride was limited to 30 minutes on the streets where the speed limit was 80 km/h. You don’t max out or redline a 1000cc superbike on a test ride. You just test the overall feel and get an idea of what you are getting. Also I had...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Hi and thanks for chipping in. First of all the Daytona is the finest bike I have ever ridden and I'm in love with the thing! :) I still have mine back home in mint. condition and it is a proper beast by 600 cc standards. I have installed Bodis headers and a CR-T muffler by SC-Project, as well...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Done testing. I did 4-5 tests in race pro With - Wheelie control completely off - 2nd gear - Full throttle from 3,000RPM to 12-13,000 Absolutely no difference Front wheel does NOT get off the ground. It’s like a 600cc until 9-10K then there’s a boost until 13 and it is not so impressive. If...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Thanks for your reply. That is definitely a valid point. One that I have considered. What I do have to say that goes against that is that 1- I have set the wheelie control to the minimal setting in Race Pro (high wheelie possible). In that mode the wheel can come up quite a bit before the...

    New Owner Thoughts - 2024 S1000RR M Package

I'm not 100% sure but I think we get the Euro Spec. I will double check. But I heard that while US bikes are the worst in terms of restriction, the Euro bikes have it too albeit to a lesser extent. What I am 100% sure of, however, is that there is a severe restriction in the low-mid range in...

New member from the United Arab Emirates - 2024 S1000RR M Package

Hello all New to BMW and new to this forum Orignally from Beirut, Lebanon, residing in Abu Dhabi, UAE. I purchased a brand new 2024 S1000RR M Package in December. I have been riding for about 20 years Upgrading from a fully modded and tuned 2014 Triumph Daytona 675R (still in possession back...

    Throttle response

Evidence? Personally I don't but it is all over the internet. And I can assure you full throttle in 2nd gear on a 210 HP bike should flip you over the back faster than you can blink. But on this one it feels slower than my Daytona 675. I can go WOT second gear with minimal wheelie control and it...

    Throttle response

It is adjustable to a certain extent. I have mine on "direct throttle response" which is the 'max power' setting. I can assure you that it is NOWHERE NEAR full power. I hate it. Needs a flash to be derestricted and the flash = 100% loss of warranty.

    Down shift assist?

Yes i can confirm. You can downshift even on full throttle. Amazing.
