    Carbon Rims

After getting my car rims mauled by a well know trye changing chain over the weekend I'm rather concerned about tryer changes on carbon rims. Is specialist equipment/training required to remove/replace tyres on carbon rims. Another if I may, what cleaning solution/method is best used to get the...

    23 RR alarm question

I'm trying to adapt to the new TFT display after moving up from a 2014 bike. The alarm is currenlty foxing me! The alrm lists a setting to turn on the auto setting function when the ignition is turned off. Back in the day I had a fob, I would press to turn it on and then again to turn it off...

    2023+ OEM GoPro/GPS mount - metal replacement

It's a greatst idea and I'm surgprised that there is not a commercial solution out there already. Not sure I like the angle but it might be good for a vew out the back on track days. What you need is a platform to advertise this to all the 'influencer' crowd that ride around with 2 meter...

    Difficulty booking servicing

Its the start of the summer riding season. Loads of bikes emerging from hibernation. I'm lucky to have one MOT in Feb and another in Oct. Is your garage willing to have you on speed dial if they get a no show?

    Have I wrecked my bike!

Is it possible that you were not wearing ear plugs on your last ride? I'm always surprised by the motor clicking noises when I do a 2 mile trip the garage to fill up. I don't put plugs in for this and the engine always sounds different.

    Have I wrecked my bike!

Ok I have to ask, what were you doing in deep gravel? I know some folk like putting chunky tyres on sports bikes to do insane stuff but the SRR is a little expensive for that.

    Engine sliders vs covers

Alex please stop posting links to things I can't resist buying:chuncky:. Link to pptuning broken, it's dropped the last section. Cut and paste works fine. Like the understated Bonamici cover over the pp offering. Like the pp axel sliders. Might have to pick some up to go along with the box of...

    Full akra system

I don't think they do. I'm sure I read in hear somewhere that bikes bought for the track come stock with all the bits that you don't specifically want for track use. They then swap them out with 'go fast' stuff. Parts sometimes end up on this forum for sale. Picked up a brand new seat for my...

Best time to get out on the road

Tend not to ride in the afternoons on the weekends as the traffic gets too heavy. Sunday morning is best for clear roads. It's a pain that nice sunny afternoons draws out the cars, and dogs and bikes and scooters....

Are BeMoto still doing forum discounts?

    MRR insurance

I'm sure I posted this already but can't find it any more. I had a go at looking at insurace for the MRR and got very few hits under ?1k. Can anyone with a 21/22 MRR comment on the crazyness that is try to insure an MRR. I know times change but back in the day when my HP4 was new, both it and...

    Throttle response

I tested out a 23 S100RR today and must say that I'm confused by the throttle response. The bike still had the limiter activated so could not test fully. The new bike is far too tame in low RPM range. Soft and fluffy...great for traffic I guess but not the same as my HP4. Is this something to...

    Front Brake chatter

Have any of you re-used any of the break disc bolts when swapping out the discs? I'm sure the standard bolts are not meant to be torqued down again as they stretch too much. If you swap them out where did you pick up a set?

    Front Brake chatter

Thinking of going for the Brembo T-Drive discs, has anyone used a set on the HP4? People say that Carpimoto in Italy is normal good value for Brembo stuff but at ?260 a side before postage they are a rather expensive. I found a site in the UK that was doing them for ?450 but clicked off it ...

    Front Brake chatter

I don't know if the discs were cleaned prior to the pad being fitted as this was done by BMW. It might still be a cheaper option to replace the pads first. If I clean the discs (brake dust remover?) and fit new pads and it remains the same can I use the same pads on the new discs if they have...

    Front Brake chatter

I have pulled the pads and they look ok. I then checked the run out on both discs. The right was 0.10 and the left was bang on the tolerance of 0.15. All was well before the last tyre change so it is possible that the discs were damaged then. Looks like I'm going to have to go the expensive...

    Front Brake chatter

I had the front pads replaced about 3 months ago when the old set de-laminated after the wheel was taken out for a tyre change. Ran the new set in for about 20mi then on the next ride I had to perform a very heavy breaking manoeuvre from speed to avoid t boning a car which pulled out on me...

    Latest service..OUCH

Sorry was not clear in the text, it was the RR/HP4 that was in the shop for the service. I have always regretted getting the GS and not the GSA, time to change that me thinks. Also looking to get the faster blue one, wink wink.

    Latest service..OUCH

Bike sent into BMW for a yearly service and the garage promptly did a 6K service on the bike when there was only just over 5K on the clock. Not an issue I'm sure to blow through 6K in a few weeks. Got a call to say the bike was done but the front tyre was close to legal limit and did I want to...
