I think I have around 4mm / 5 mm this does not seem right . I am booking it for its first service tomorrow son they can sort it . unless its designed to be like this it can't be good for the parts as you come on and off the throttle .

Cleaning my chain today I noticed play back and forward on the sprocket carrier and the wheel which would say to me the Cush drive rubber where knackered , the bike has only done 500 miles is this movement ok .

It does make you wonder if they should supplier a charger from new and tell you your need to plug it in , which is fine as long as you have access to electric where it is stored , maybe they should sell these as plug in ( but not Hybrid ) . I have a 2004 gs1200 which had a split alternator case...
