Dealer rang today, bike all fixed and ready for collection tomorrow. Some new exhaust valves and new valve stem oil seals seems to have done the job. Going for a blast tomorrow so fingers crossed.

Just got back from great weekend in Assen but the Beemer has taken up smoking on start up. Plume of blue smoke which stops after a few revs. Nothing on the move. Just been serviced and sight glass is showing plenty but not too much oil. Shall be on phone to dealers tomorrow

But I got my 6000 mile service chucked in for free :)

Just checked oil level and noticed that around edges of sight glass there is some fairly thick oily residue. Never anything on floor under bike so not dripping. Could it be a bit of fling from front sprocket. Just had to top oil up slightly as done 3600 miles and level was nearer the bottom part...

So after reading other posts on suspension setting I thought I would see what it would be like on the rain/comfort setting from manual. I'm not he heaviest and living in fens means most roads are bumpy. Just came back from 20 mile route I often do, observations: Bike is still firmly sprung but...

So had 1st proper ride since fitting the new sprocket. Does make the bike accelerate that bit harder and in gear acceleration improved. Best 30 quid I've spent. Also new rear tyre (Meteler M5 Sportec) very impressive

Just bought full Akra system from Demon Tweeks. Bought the non road legal version (no cat) with the e marked carbon can with removable baffle. Hopefully turn up next week. Then lots of noise and same flames :) Any tips on fitting. I'm not the greatest with a spanner but understand that they are...
