Question for fitting Evotech crash bungs

Thanks very much, mine look exactly like that. If I swap them around, the right-side one would look different, with some of the thinner, inner end of the spacer protruding out of the frame. Which wouldn't look right but wanted to be sure.

Question for fitting Evotech crash bungs

Can someone please confirm something for me? Basically which bung fits into which side. The left-side and right-side crash bungs are different, solely in the shape of the part Evotech calls the spacer. The instructions say to install the short spacer on the left-side, and the long spacer on the...

    Engine sliders vs covers

This should be the reply to NorfolkBiker.

    Engine sliders vs covers

    Yes, that?s the one.

    Lower standard seat?

Yep, I'll let you know how much difference it makes, and if it all fits well. The dealer has promised that I can return it if it's not suitable.

    Engine sliders vs covers

I want to fit protection to the clutch cover & alternator cover. I could fit GB Racing covers which go over the whole part of the engine (?171) or R&G engine sliders which stick onto the front of the same engine parts (?96). I'm only concerned about the bike falling over from stationary, and...

    Lower standard seat?

The R seat I'm getting is for the current R model (I think 2021 onwards?). I don't know about the 2023 RR (my RR is 2020, so the previous generation). You could visit your dealer and ask them to physically check if the current R seat fits the current RR.

    Lower standard seat?

I'm afraid I don't know because the measurements given are for the R. It claims that the R seat height is reduced from 820 to 800, but I don't know how this translates to the RR.

    Lower standard seat?

I've been told that it does fit. I'm going to buy one and give it a go.

Alternator cover paint code (or replacement)?

It might not help you in the US but as an update I bought the kit linked in a previous reply in this thread, and it was a very good colour match. I did find that I had to apply many light coats in order to get opacity but now the damage is invisible.

    Pillion Pack

Maybe get a price from another dealer just to be sure?

    Pillion Pack

Have they quoted for a GEN3 cowl by mistake? Those have the lock mechanism built into the cowl. The Gen4 doesn't as the lock is on the bike. That's why the GEN4 cowls are much cheaper. Or maybe the price has increased (a lot) in the past year?

    Pillion Pack

The seat cowl is only ?60-odd. But the pillion pack is hundreds (although free if ordered on the new bike).

Alternator cover paint code (or replacement)?

I'm struggling to find anyone that can find the paint formulation from the code. Has anyone else found a supplier that can mix this paint?

Alternator cover paint code (or replacement)?

Thanks very much everyone. I'll see if I can find somewhere to make me up a little quantity.

Alternator cover paint code (or replacement)?

I had an embarrassing mishap at the weekend - the classic case of the sidestand not being fully down. Wasn't moving and bike laid down as gently as possible. The paint on the alternator case has been slightly chipped and I have a nasty suspicion that a replacement will be expensive. But if I...

Sump plug - which socket & torque?

Is that for 2020 bikes? Is it visible to all premier members? Thanks.

Sump plug - which socket & torque?

I need to let a little bit of oil out from the sump plug. Can someone please tell me what socket I will need, and what is the torque setting for this? As a more general question - where do you find the torque settings for the bike? There's no workshop manual as far as I know? Thanks very much.

    Hi from Kent

Thanks Oli. I had a Daytona 675 for the past 8 years, and before that a CBR600F, been riding for 10 years. Loved the Daytona but always wanted to try a litre bike one day. Obviously it will be an uncommon view on here but I never liked the look of previous RR versions, although I knew how good...
