Daler plug different ecu and fired straight away on 4 cylinders same after when i put ecu cloned by CP fired with no issue i think antenna problem was related to cloning, but dropping cylinder is related to coil control unit in ecu

Strange that it?s not protected somehow by fuse, wire was check previously in independent bmw specialist garage and apparently they ok but who knows, bmw dealer done check as well and pointed ecu but never mention anything else, hopefully i will be take it to crowe performance after Christmas...

Totally devastated, after mine ecu gone bad and bike fired on 3 cylinders I got second ecu programmed by crowe performance put it on bike and bike runs fine again, took it for a short spin and after 10-15 miles bike cut off shows ews error on dash, manage to start it but same problem only on 3...

Ok found this one but this holding a wire half way through, what about connector plug itself? Is it just attached to subframe with cable ties?

Hi just got my bike back from service and noticed that quick shifter wire is loose but it looks like connector should be attached somewhere to the frame can?t find where? Anyone can tell me where it should go please is on gen 2? Thanks

Yes they put different ecu and it run on all 4 cylinders, second hand ecu need to be programmed i believe to work with specific bike I?ve seen sets with dash keys and ignition barrel on ebay for ?1500 so not keen on that, sorry to comment on old post but I thought it won?t be a problem

Re: Bikes suddenly misfiring and sounds rough. Just received phone call from the dealer that need new ecu quoted ?800 plus labour :(

Just wonder if you found the reason for misfiring as I?ve got same issue only differences mine not firing on first cylinder, Independent bmw garage couldn?t find the problem so I just took it to a dealer now see what they gonna tell

I swapped coils no spark but when used wire from cylinder 2 i?ve got spark so i assume it will be problem with wire going to 1 cylinder coil ?

Just wonder if I get wiring loom from gen2 and swap it will it cause an issue? It?s looks like electrical problem to me

My gen2 yesterday decided to run on 3 cylinders only so i?ve change all spark plugs just to realise that there is no spark on first cylinder, I swapped the coils and still same what can i do next? Any suggestions guys?

Not sure got bike maybe 4 months now, no warning light on dash. After it cools down a bit it start running ok again then misfire for a bit and now normal again. Could it be doggy fuel from tesco ?

Finally i decat it and it was ok for about 300 miles but today I took it for a spin and after 20 min it lost the power and it sound like a tractor, it?s like firing on 3 cylinders or something, anyone know what could be the issue?

Do you think that if I disconnect the cables from that valve before end can then it will pop a bit more?
