I haven't tried the Conti's but I have used the K3's on my R1 and my BMW came with them, great tyre.

My dealer changed mine and didn't give a **** about my exhaust/ohlins or other mods? It might be a different problem if it was an engine related issue?

I wouldn't get hung up on the dot rating a good Dot 4 fluid is fine. 5.1 is just a thinner viscosity than 4 it doesn't mean a higher boiling point.

I went to Pidcocks BMW and asked them what fluid they recommend and they sold me some BMW stuff that's standard in the bike. Used it on track a few times with no problems. It was dirt cheap too

The hp4 comes with a sports cat doesn't it? So that should quieten it down a little. My full akro (race) with baffle is 99db at Donington

I get black flagged with mine at Donny but as I said I think its the QS pops that do it

Full akro with baffle is 99db so I had to mod my baffle a little to make it safe. I find its not the engine noise but more the bangs from the quick shifter that cause the problems?
