    My new (Used) Gen 4

Sadly, I don't have wet tyres or a van. My plan was to ride there and back. 80% risk of thunder and rain from my location at the time I'd be leaving the house and then the same sort of weather reported around Donny. To be honest, I don't think it's even worth me making the effort to attend...

Congratulations Marc, really pleased for you as you've been waiting for ages. I know I would have been climbing the walls by now and you have the patience of a saint! Glad you had a fantastic collection day with the weather to top it off! :)

    New Bike - Triumph Bonneville

Couple of new mods to my Bonneville. Triumph have a brilliant system, where they have an instructions website available to anyone, enter part number and gives you full detailed instructions with torque settings etc. Not many manufacturers do that so I'm impressed. I fitted the retro style 4...

    Gen 4 S1000RR Test Ride

Morning Oli, Great write up and thanks for taking the time to write such a comprehensive one :) Pretty much agree with everything you said, like you, initially I wasn't blown away by the mid-range kick, it felt very similar to my previous Gen 3, I think the exhaust being quieter on the Gen 4...

    Performance pack

I think that applies to many of us, certainly does to me. What counts most is mate, is that you're happy with your bike PP or not. Enjoy!

    Performance pack

If you look on page 1 of the other Performance Pack thread, the screen shot Alex has posted explains it. It's also on the BMW configurator. Looking at bikes at the dealership side by side, comparing a standard Sport to a Sport with PP/M Sport and the discs are noticeably different in design as...

    Performance pack

In addition to what you said, the Performance Pack also adds the bigger and thicker brake discs and the Metzeler Racetec RR tyres with the 200 width rear tyre, exactly the same as what you get on the M Sport. To me personally, getting the Performance Pack was a no brainer. My understanding was...

    Superleggera V4

I can relate to that Tif, like you I've never known anything but Sportbikes, but as you know, this year I bought a Triumph Bonneville and I must say I'm really enjoying that style of riding along with the Cafe Racer look. I seem to get thumbs up everywhere I go and greater appreciation for the...

    Superleggera V4

Nice Tif, never owned a Ducati but I must say it's quite refreshing riding a different type/style of bike :)

    Booked a test ride

The standard Sport gets the regular battery, if you get the Sport with Performance Pack added then you get the lightweight M Sport battery amongst other things just like the M Sport, and yes, I'm 100% sure. Go check on the BMW configurator. Only difference between Sport with Performance Pack...

    Booked a test ride

I've got the Sport with the Performance Pack, so it gets the same light weight battery as the M Sport, I don't have a tracker on mine and I've had no issues with the battery.
