Ive just tried to refit the oem quickshifter to the bike which has been off for about a year but it is not working. Spoke to bmw who said it needs to be reprogrammed into the ecu if its been disconnected for a while. Has anybody else had this problem?

+1 on the bike trac, very prompt notifications from them if i forget to turn it off, it also logs your rides and you can log in and check routes for 3 months after, i phoned them before i bought it to make sure they wouldn't report on potential law breaking speed offences, just in case ;-)

I started doing one of them, the trouble is the shape and the detailing once you get going, someone can prove me wrong but to me it seemed that i still wasn't going to get a good finished, if i cant find any i'll get a second hand one off fleabay to replace the polished one.

Find an independent bike shop with a code reader, they could point you in the right direction and maybe sort it if its a quick fix, if not wouldn't tell BMW till your warranty starts

I've got a factory pro spring on order to try and sort my false neutrals going up the box, mainly 5 to 6 and going down 2 to 1 it finds neutral which I can never find when stationary. I will most likely change the shift star when I do it but I'll let you know what it feels like when it's done

No there should not be bolts there, mine are empty too, they're possibly bolt holes to secure the engine to a frame if its being worked on. As for the oil you'll have to wash it off and see where it comes from, my sight glass weeps slightly.

Can anybody measure from the centre of the exhaust mount hole to each top mounting hole

Does anybody know if the akropovic carbon exhaust bracket is dimensionally the same as the rear foot peg, ie the spacing between the hole in the rear of the peg and the sub frame, would like a carbon exhaust bracket for my arrow works exhaust rather than the metal one i have now.
