I asked about warrenty if i changed exhaust and mapped it. Apparently changing exhaust alone wouldnt void warrenty but mapping would. Which is strange since mapping it to suit would be safer option for the engine

Its not an issue unless you want to ride a long way no handed. Its only slight veer to the right

I tried my 23 in the most responsive throttle setting and its still really soft at low rpm. Pulling away needs a fair bit of twist. Compared to my r1 where i had to be careful not to cartwheel it when pulling off lol

Yes the standard cast wheel has offset spokes. Not by a small amount either. I saw a video saying it was due to a tendacy for the bike to slightly veer to the right. Well i have my bike now and with cruise control on and no hands it still slightly veers to the right so that didnt work lol

Isnt the throttle response adjustable in rider mode pro? Also it would depend what mode your in. Compared to my r1 the bmw throttles are alot softer

Does anyone know the full reason behind the offset rear wheel in the 2023 bike? I guess its the same as the previous version? It looks very odd

Well im gonna run it in on the ddc and see how I get on with it. If im not happy im gonna change for the manual suspension. I guess bmw can just switch off the ddc so no errors. From what I can see the base model has the same suspension as the ?26k msport version. Maybe thats why they are not...

Well the wait for a manual suspension bike was too long (late summer at best) so my options today was a brand new rr sport or a second hand 2022 rsv4 factory. As the bmw was ?1000 less and brand new I went with that option. Should be here within 2 weeks!

Sorry to bring up an old topic but if bmw say they cannot turn off the ddc then how can they offer a manual suspension version of the s1000rr? I got a quote for a 2020 bmw that i wanted to have manual suspension as i dont really get on with the ddc, they said they could turn a ddc into a manual...

Re: Baz - 16/6/2020 Yeah, what happened was i passed him and he tried to dive straight back under me. But you cant do that at richies. He realised he wasnt going to make the corner so cut the kirb and hit the anchors to make it. With obvious results. Just young and inexperienced.

Re: Baz - 16/6/2020 I would have twatted him had i not hurt my wrist and been a bit battered around. I tumbled a long way, turns out 90mph onto grass is still quite fast. But i will live. The bikes got a fair bit of damage but it didnt flip, thats the most important thing.
