    Hi guys - sorry to re-open this thread but ive ordered the Factory Pro detent spring and just wondering if you can point me at the step by step instrcutions for replacement please? Also any gotchas other than what you mention in this thread to look out for? Thanks, Rob.

    Yes agreed and I'm sure the gen 3 was changed for this reason. My aftermarket rearsets even mounted as low and far back as possible still result in a different alignment of the gear rod as it's now higher than with stock.

I've adjusted the rearsets and gear road god knows how many times at the track......speaking to other owners it seems it's a common problem so I'll have to just keep tweaking till it's sorted I...

    Its a 2013 and I changed the oil when I converted over to track earlier this year. Didn't notice anything like that then but obviously all its mileage since have been on track.

    So went to change oil and filter on my track bike today and when i took sump plug out it has a fair bit of metal filings / swarf stuck to the inside of it! Never seen that before on any bike however I've only had this 6 months and since changing rearsets and QS I've been hitting a lot of false...

    Ok thanks guys looks like its worth giving the detent spring change a go then......shame as I'm off to portimao next weekend so my bike heads off this Saturday and no way ill get one and be able to fit it before Saturday now :-(

    Ok well I get what you are describing between 5th and 6th as the qs cuts the spark (you can feel / hear it) but I'm still in 5th. 4th to 5th inevitably ends up in a false neutral but as you say only when I'm flat out......I was at silverstone yesterday and wanted to grab an early 5th at certain...

    Ok thanks just read it all and sounds like your problem is same as mine. What happens if you clutch up Shift? Mine seems to be fine which is why I'm blaming the QS and nothing else.

    Hi, not sure as I only used the bike for one track day before swapping out for an after market as. There was a noticeable lag on some upshifts with the shift assist that put me off that. I'll look into the detent spring idea though I must admit to not knowing too much about that :)

    I used red rubber grease when I did mine as well and no problems......this is the first ive heard of it potentially being an issue so would ignore if I were you.

    Fitting Brembo RCS Master

    Yup I ended up ordering a Brembo reservoir and hose as wasn't happy with having used the original and hoping it didn't leak. I use SBS dual carbon pads always found them a good combo with the RCS :-)

    Levers

    Yeah just be careful mate mine felt fine and was normal when braking on track for a couple of laps........the pressure builds up owing to it not fully releasing if that pin is in the incorrect position in the plunger. Anyway not trying to put you off just saying be careful when you first use it...
