I thought I'd seen another Gen 4 in the low number garages............don't think we came across each other on track? Was there a guy with an RSV4 in the garage with you? It was a shame about the dust trail for both of the last two sessions.......I just stayed right as you come over the top of...

Inters had it bad................. we had two in fast and one of them was at the end of a session so not really a problem.

I noticed a red Gen 4 riding into the paddock. I set up under the trees near the petrol station. As you say good day and ideal weather.

Blue and white Gen 3 in fast - I think I was the only road bike in the group. Did you ride there?

    Handle bar risers

I fitted a set of the ABM Multiclip Touring - did exactly what I wanted and really improved the bike for road use. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gUdmy7M3ZCk

    TW suspension setup.

Flipping the eccentric on it's own is worth doing - if you have an abba-type stand then you don't have to remove anything apart from the bolt although it is a bit fiddly to do.

    TW suspension setup.

I might be missing something here but how are you going to change the shock length? The OE DDC unit doesn't have a ride height adjuster?

    TW suspension setup.

    Have you got aftermarket suspension?

    TW suspension setup.

Are you just trying to flip the eccentric?
  16. Gobert

Setup, how far do you really need to go..?

Standard shock length is 352mm mounting bolt centre to mounting bolt centre.(shock off the bike)

Setup, how far do you really need to go..?

I'll have a look at my OE shock tomorrow. I tried it with the eccentric in both positions and it steered nicer with the reduced rear ride height.

Setup, how far do you really need to go..?

352mm seems to ring a bell? When I was on OE suspension I ran the forks flushed and the eccentric in the upper position (ie least ride height)

    Sprockets

Yes - when I said OE kit, it was the OE DDC set up I was referring to. I'm running the standard chain length with 16/44 gearing so the axle is towards the rear of the swing arm.

    Sprockets

16/44 works ok at Oulton. I weigh around 13 stone in my gear and the front was really improved with the 2D pot, lighter springs and a different air gap in the fork - I had the work done by MCT following recommendations on here. I'm usually mid pack fast group at Oulton and maybe a bit higher at...
