    SP Blade

Just seen this on the blades.... bit of speculation maybe... https://www.bennetts.co.uk/bikesocial/news-and-views/news/2018/august/2019-honda-fireblade-image-details

What did you get in the post today?

In the intervening weeks I?ve tried a KTM1290 (not for me really, but a wheelie monster), and a Tuono 1100 factory (flipping amazing). Love riding something new! The Tuono could almost tempt me away from sportsbikes...

Not quite in the post... but finally back on the road today.... a loan bike!

    Modern 125?s

It?s a Mondial HPS. Looks really good in the flesh. I had nothing like it in my day that?s for sure. Time will tell if components last I guess but first impressions are good. He?s excited as f**k. It?s infectious. Got to retake his CBT before he can ride it.

    Recommend me some footpegs

I had a few chats with these guys when I was looking... the big attraction for me was that they will also sell you a quick bolt on kit for those euro trips which give you an additional 15mm down on top of the 10mm the rearset provides. You fit it, do your run down France or eurotrip or wherever...

    AR can, but which one?

Here?s mine... bought from a gentleman on here actually.

    Intercoms

+1 on the interphones, I used to have them for many years and very good range and clarity and battery life and all the good stuff MacRR said. I swapped for the simple reason I wanted audio mixing. Most intercoms rely on an interupt based system and if you are using that for Sat Nav or speed...

    Chain snapped - advice please.

I should have checked the chain protector could be fitted. Will do that thanks. Although I guess if it goes again (but it had better not strike twice) and takes out the engine then it?s definitely an insurance job.

    Chain snapped - advice please.

Gents, thank you for all your comments... a little more advice please. The dealer called and whilst an insurance job would indeed be big money, the actual cost if I ignore the engine casings and small marks inside the swing arm could certainly be a lot worse. I?m trying to avoid a second write...

    Track day crash

Can you point me at the link Gav? I?m likely going to be needing 15/16 plastics!

    Chain snapped - advice please.

Yep sprocket cover was OEM. Bike is now at dealer for assessment next week. Will see what they have to say, his instinctive reaction was... ?if it?s an insurance job could be a write off? given what you see in that picture plus a few cosmetic marks on inside of swingarm etc, plus it?s taken out...

    Chain snapped - advice please.

It was about 200 yards back down the road and had been driven over by 100 cars and HGV?s by the time I had got back and risked life and limb to get it. This is what it?s like now. I?m no expert on this stuff...

    Chain snapped - advice please.

Amazing how much damage a chain can cause... it?s all minor compared to what could have happened of course but sitting here shaking my head the more I see. It?s even somehow managed to completely slice through the seat mount ffs, I mean how did it make it up there? There?s lumps out of...

Think the leathers saved my ass....

    Chain snapped - advice please.

Thanks guys, yeah we are ok thankfully, just a sore leg where I got whipped. It was an OEM chain, and probably due for change given I?ve just had a 12k service but they did say it was ok. Any thoughts on that pics and why my engine management light might be on?

    Chain snapped - advice please.

Guys, sitting here on the side of the road waiting for recovery. Chain snapped and ripped up the back end of my bike, undertray, rear seat cowling, indicators all gone. It caught me too and has gone through my leathers but I?m ok. Missed my missus who was pillion completely. I can also see the...

    MacKenzieHodgson Insurance

They told me the Ageas would be underwriting my quote. I didn?t hear anything I didn?t like to be honest.... but just thought I would see if anyone had any experience with them.
