    TEMU

it's you typical cheap chinese stuff you get from ebay generally, but cheaper, i've ordered a few bits to see delivery wise, came very quickly, nothing major, just some electrical tools+bits, about £30 worth. cheaper than ebay, delelvery not that much different, think took 9 days, with full...

    Part Wanted Upgraded Calipers.

awesome bikes, had a few over the years road+track. brakes are defiantley the weak point, and the rear shock. newer blade calipers, lines etc was always a popular upgrade. plugs 1+4 are a proper pain in the arse to swap, other than that, easy bike to work on

Blue box RCK 3 HP race

sorry, read it as gear leaning, not learning. tbh unless you've changed the q/shifter/blipper you shouldn't need to reprogramme the gears, i've never had to do it and had 5 gen3 's, with different shifter modules, even did a back to back with a HM shifter+ alpha shifter, but never needed to do...

Blue box RCK 3 HP race

theottle calibration can be done with a gs911 unit, as can a lot of the fault finding/fixing, but cant do anything regarding tuning. you can also doa manual throttklel calibration, without any other device connected. ignition on, open throttle fully for a fw seconds, close throttle fully, turn...

Blue box RCK 3 HP race

easiest way to tell if it's unlocked is if you dont have the "user" option on the rider modes

Blue box RCK 3 HP race

you can set it up without it, but need someone that can get into the s/w, phil crowe can do it in the UK. they are discontinued now, so cant buy new, they do come up on ebay/FB from time to time (theres 1 on FB now as it happens) but are getting silly expensive due to scarcity. are you sure it's...

    Down shift assist?

why? because this is a bmw s1000rr forum, and i do have a lot of experience with said bikes. So, your saying as i dont have 1, or any bmw at the moment for that matter, that i shouldn't post anymore?

    Down shift assist?

does it? so it changes down/blips even on partial throttle opening? never heard of that before, but i dont have 1 so will take your word for it.

    Down shift assist?

check the clutch switch under the clutch lever is doing what it is supposed to, as in the tabs are closing/opening properly
  12. scooby

    Down shift assist?

it shouldn't shift down with any throttle applied, for the blip to work needs to be 100% closed

tbh, without a comparison you couldn't say as you dont know the trade off between each approach

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

wouldn't need to be the whole lap, just that section i guess,i suppose the tell tale sign would be entry speed into the next turn/braking marker, to see of theres any difference in arrival speed. i guess this is why there are data guys for race teams to look at every aspect of these types of...

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

your coming along with it a lot better than i am!! so, taking the last part, have you managed to find a lap where you didn't run the kerb to compare the differences? as in, is it still faster to run the kerb, or better to miss the extra track width for better drive down the straight? (which is...

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

Nice read, and good to see you was getting into it, shame about the timing. FYI, Aim have a made an expansion module for 4 analogue sensors now for the soloDL, so suspension pots can be logged now independantly (as in, not electronic suspension).

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

i assumed that meant you couldn't do it? tbh Aim is probablly the most user friendly s/w out there, and theres a lot of info+videos around to help guide you through the different aspects to look at, understand and apply to your riding

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

Alex, so you saying you can't compare lap by lap? at the end of the day, data analysis isn't an easy thing to understand unless, like most things, you actually try to learn how to read it, which without help is very difficult (as you say). lap by lap comparison for me is 1 of the basic tools i...

Spike Edwards - S1000RR - HP Datalogging Information

funny you say that, just dug out my data analysis book, and realised it doesn't have any info for 2d, loads for Motec, Aim, Pi+ Stack. there are few vids on YT but guess your a bit further ahead than the basics now, we'll have to get the laptops out next time i see you at oulton ;)

i never looked into it Alex as he decided he wasn't bothered, do you know how to add math channels in the 2d s/w? i've book with all kinds of math formula (i) for different s/w, i'll dig it out and let you know the formula
