    2023 model changes

Thread Hijack continued: Make sure you look after the kilt at home Stu - mine got eaten by beasties and I had to throw it out. You need to wrap it up, get moth repellent etc

    Bridgestone Tyres

My Gen 2 and 4 both came with K3s. Couldn't believe my 70 plate R came with S20s - s22 are definitely a step change from them, really noticed a difference. The R currently has s21s and I can't really fault them. Worst tyre I ever experienced was the M5RRs, slipped way too often, binned them...

    Reinstalling rear wheel

Whilst Amit was over "helping" the other night I realised that there was an added significance to getting the bike ready. I knew that I needed it ready for today, because I'd booked the bike in for its MOT (I'm sitting waiting on it now). 7th Oct 2021 is the day I left the house on a bike with a...

    MCN Nov & Feb

Ditched the NHS and went private. In 5 days I've gone from waiting three months for a follow up to: 1. Getting an appt with a specialist 2. Confirmation I need an op 3. Getting a date for the op... 4. Which is early Nov... ...so v unlikely to make NEC

    2023 model changes

Actually it seems to be ?1040 for 5 years, according to the new configurator. I'm sure it was closer to/over ?1500 before for a litre bike. That does make it more appealing.

    Reinstalling rear wheel

Didn't know these existed until now... and having googled them they don't look massively different to the OEM ones, how do they work?

    Reinstalling rear wheel

Just be grateful Amit said he'd help me - you were next on the list to ask, lol :-) Whilst I appreciate that you need many pairs on hands for this, I don't really even have one pair at the mo - I've just found out I need another op on the ankle, and I may hear same about the arm next week, it...

    Reinstalling rear wheel

Total newbie question... I was forced into removing rear wheel after a puncture to take for new tyre. Now having bit of a nightmare getting wheel back in, something I've never done before. It's just about the choreography of managing all the parts that want to - and do - fall off... The...

    2023 model changes

Service plan? I've never thought that was worth it unless you do enough miles to get the 18k service as part of it - what's the thinking there?

    22 RR Seats

...and I thought StuartB had the monopoly on commission from AliExpress :-) Seriously though, I will consider both options so thanks Bman and LeDuke. I used to feel like I was sitting on top of my K1300S, but the feeling went away after a while, maybe it'd be the same with the seat. I was happy...

    22 RR Seats

I am 6"2 and I notice the seating position every time I ride the Gen 4, esp. at the knees, so I am thinking of doing something. Bananaman, Pedro znd others have discussed HP rear sets in other threads, doesn't feel like that would give me what I want, so current favourite is to get the...

    New s1000r

Yes indeed. I love my R, but, at only... 165bhp, it never gets any press time when they talk about the more powerful naked bikes. The M badge suggests it could be a bit too expensive for most, let's see.

BeMoto - Motocycle Insurance - Deals for Forum Members

Yup, cheers for that, exactlyvthe problem - current underwriter sulking cos i dared to actually claim.. I already called them... so far they're talking about a grand (2 RRs, 1 R), and Devits/Motorrad are in about the same place too, so not the end of the world.... it was 850ish last year...

BeMoto - Motocycle Insurance - Deals for Forum Members

Well well, the last post in this thread was me saying positive things about BeMoto... how times change. I hate this time of year cos i have to deal with car, house and bike insurance within a 4 week period. Car sorted yesterday (big bump in premium because of my off mentioned above), I was just...

    I'm back, maybe.

Autotrader app shows lots of dealers offering deals on new bikes. The way the dealer system works they're always going to chasing end of month targets, often starting in the middle of the month. Nice to see that my local dealer is, as usual, one of the most expensive... some of them say the...

    Free: Abba Skylift Roller Assembly

I can't imagine anyone needs one, but it'll be thrown out in a week or so if no-one replies... I bought a new skylift earlier this year and this, the original roller, would not slide up and down the upright. The instructions say you shouldn't mess with the screws (it is pre-assembled by Abba)...
