It never happened again after, but I've recently been for a service and after getting the bike back from the service it wouldn't start all week!
So I took it back and the diagnostics was showing a faulty Crankshaft position sensor, which was replaced and all has been fine since.

Sorry that's not much help, See if you can plug it in somehow an see if any faults show.

Hello mate, I was wondering if you ever got the problem sorted when your bike wouldn't rev and had the engine management light on?
