That's the one, full on Nutella moment!! And i did it twice just to make sure. I did wonder if clutch was the issue as the upsthifts where spot on, only after downshifting from 6th into 5th?

Cheers for that. I went past the Bmw garage with the valve (puzzled face when he saw it, ha ha) and confirmed it was correct. All refitted and sump on, just waiting on oil. Thanks, Scott

Hi, Just joined the forum as I'm the proud owner of a 63 plate S1000rr Sport. I had R1's till now however a high side that put me into hospital last year made me change my mind. Best choice I've made as I love the new bike and handling so much better than the big bang R1. Cheers, Scott
