That's an interesting point (and unfortunate experience) KMAC - the whole point of the strengthened sidewall is to allow the car to drive after a puncture...and that infers that it should stay strong and prevent wheel damage. If I compare even the RF and non-RF version of the tyres I have now...

My car is a beemer, which came with run flats (Conti Sportcontact SSR). I'm going to need new fronts soon. My local tyre place asked me if I wanted to keep the run flats - I've not had a car tyre puncture in 20 years, and I can do a roadside repair if I ever get one, so I'm not that bovvered...

I'm not sure what the phrasing is, but they are likely enquiring about the existence of any car claims. Most companies hold any car claims, but I did find some that don't. Again, whilst they may phrase it that way, the level of NCB is not applicable to any other policy.

No claims on any other policy is irrelevant - it's a kind of discount that can only apply to one policy and you cannot transfer car NCB to a bike policy. You can't even use it on a second bike policy concurrent with the first one.

Doesn't sound like fun. BeMoto are worth a call, they can often pull rabbits out of hats, but no idea what they'll say to your circumstances. Good luck

I'm not sure there is a bracket, maybe you can mount something to one side of the handlebar. Check the RAM mount website, unsure if there's enough room for one. I use a RAM ball mount in the hole in the yoke... but that doesn't solve the power issue, and my 3 yo XT only works for about an hour...
