There seems to be a lot of vibration from the bars!

Well, I had the dealer check it out back to back with another S1K in his showroom, "exactly the same" he says. He also said something that I have never heard anybody say.... "the S1K doesn't have a balanced crank due to weight saving measures..... So I guess that's what you get. Other...

There seems to be a lot of vibration from the bars!

OK, I fitted the puppies a few days ago, I like the feel of a substantial grip, it reminds me of when I were a nipper sitting on an old English machine. I think they look OK, and they're very comfy. I'd say they stop the worst of the vibration which makes a hugh difference, I could def do long...

Don't be shy, who's got the biggest?

OH my God, what did you think I meant? ::) Just wondering who's got the biggest mileage. When I was thinking about buying another sports bike I was amazed at the mileage/make ratio. I looked a Kwaks and regularly saw 40k, then looked at Ducati's, who rarely went above 8k (and people still...

There seems to be a lot of vibration from the bars!

Just went onto the US forum, worth visiting cos there's so many more of them. They actually did a poll on vibration which shows that a large majority do have vibration, some being bad. However some have none. One guy had 2 identical bikes, one had vibs the other didn't. Gonna have to live with...

There seems to be a lot of vibration from the bars!

OK I guess it's normal'ish, I'm running it in after big end bearing replacement so am taking it easy, so lower revs which seems to be the un-sweet spot... Think I'm gonna investigate different grips and bar ends. Let you know if I have any success. Thanks all for your input, I love this sight...

    Too much for a simpleton

If you MUST get one of the fastest bikes on the planet, the S1K is a good one, it's much less snatchy than my old ZX10R, and you could always stick it in rain mode for a year...

There seems to be a lot of vibration from the bars!

Hi Peeps, I noticed on motorway driving that my throttle hand always ends up with my wrist bent down, like I'm twisting the throttle wide open. Then I noticed that there seems to be a fair amount of vibration going through the bars and I think its been vibrating my grip a bit loose, now I notice...

    Engine temperature seems high

The marketeers missed a trick. BMW S1000RR...the perfect bike for UK all year riding, includes central heating for those chilly summer and winter days!! ;D

BMW customer service – appalling, unlucky or acceptable??

Hi Alps, I really don't know, it broke when I touched it, but I'd say it was a long term degradation of the hindge.. Jamie, I had to wait till I had the bike back before I could talk compo, then I set my case out in an Email addressed to [email protected] but with the persons name...
