    Trackday db limit

I have a full system and stubby can, the arrow high level system, this one: https://shop.alpharacing.com/shop/index.php?main_page=product_cvs_info&cPath=1_15_86&products_id=13626&cPath=1_15_86&sort=20a& The standard baffle does not do much. Dunlop 212gp and brake pad help

Hi all Need some advice please. Can anyone recommend best (cheapest!) place to get 212 GP pros from? I will be buying sets as-and-when as trackdays tend to happen ad hoc, so can't really by in bulk to take advantage of economies of scale. Also the same for Brembo pads, please? Used the SC...

    2011 high speed brake Judder!

Could be the pads? I did a track day at Silverstone and had brake judder so bad at the end of hanger straight that it was buzzing the brake reservoir backwards and forwards +-10mm. The pads that were fitted were 2nd hand ones I bought at the track as they were running a BMW day at the time and...

    Leaking calipers?

Dropped bike at dealer last weekend for service and caliper check. Caliper leak diagnosed to be coming from piston seals. One caliper repair kit in stock in the uk and fitted with the service, 2nd caliper repair kit coming from Germany, and will be fitted next week. All done under warranty, no...

    Leaking calipers?

Thanks Ross. My bikes don'e 1000 miles, 450 running-in, the remainder track only. Been though a set of pads in that time, about 900 miles in. Calipers are pristine, cleaned with soapy water to remove the brake dust etc. Had the calipers off recently to check the pistons and they are clean and...

    Leaking calipers?

Bike needs to go back to BMW for 2nd service next week and there are beads of brake fluid on the bottom tips of both the calipers. All the banjos seem tight so I think the caliper seals are the culprit. Anyone else here had this and how long did BMW take to rectify it? Cheers.

    Trackdays

Track it. Start at a level/speed you're comfortable with, spend money on tyres and not bling, you'll become a better rider more quickly. Not using the bike in the manner it was intended is almost criminal.... :-)

Carbon rear hugger price / rain cover / HID / levers....

I use an Oxford Rainex for when my Tiger1050 lives out the back. It's not been too bad, but after 2+ years it's got a few rips around the openings where the locks thread through the cover - I use an Almax chain to secure it when it's left out, it's a serious piece of kit and only just fits...

    Spring rates

Nm is newton metres which doesn't relate to spring rate. Ohlins fork spring rates seem to run in the range 9.5-11Nmm-1, and rear spring rates seem to start at 90Nmm-1, so roughly an order of magnitude apart - this information is taken from Alpha racing's website.

    Spring rates

From what I can find ohlins rear spring rates begin at 90Nmm-1 so BMW are an order of magnitude out with the rear rate I think.
