Trying to take off the screen to clean it as it collects crap under there!

Can anyone advise the deal wit the two last screws in the screen? All others screw out easily. These two *******s seem to be joined to the black dash cowl behind and I'm pulling and twisting as much as i dare... Am i missing something? Cheers!

Hi Steady, the last two are a wee bit tricky because you can't access them at the back.
Just turn the torx as you did for the rest whilst pulling back slightly on the top centre of the screen, this makes the little rubber nuts at the back stay firm and allow the screw thread to unwind.
Hope this helps.

Oh, and the rubber grommet type nuts are all the same for the eight of them so don't worry about damaging them they can be easily renewed for pennies.

The rubber with a nut in acts as a rivet as I it collapses to stay secure. If you take the screw out 2/3 3/4 of the way and try pushing the screw as if trying to push it further in to the screen it will flatten the rivet back out a bit. Then pulling the screen off should be a lot easier

I have started to use a product called Aqua gleam to rinse the bike off after I have finished washing it. Not a single watermark anywhere on the bike and especially on the back of the screen where you can't reach it. Saves having to take the screen off.
