Are the Torx screws on the LHS switchgear T5s, they are tiny and I don't have anything that small.

Looks like I'll have to strip the assembly down to figure out what's happened to the high beam..

Let me know how you get on pal? my cruise control stopped working (use it for the M23 - A217 average speed camera) so need to get it looked at?

I had to get my left switchgear replaced as the cruise stopped working. The actual button ended up popping off too

Did you manage to resolve your gremlin?

Not looked at it, just washed my car..

I'm trying to figure out when McElroy is teeing off !... 10:19pm ? Anyone confirm that.

If I've time, I'll strip the rest today

Thankfully yes. The bike had gone out of warranty by 9 months but they covered the unit and paid the labour to fit it.

Hi mate.. evetually had some free time earlier, inspected the innards of the switch gear, and found all intact albeit covered in grime, so cleaned everything out with Wurth 2040, which is an excellent water repellant.

Popped fuse box cover to find one of the 7.5amp fuses had blown (No4), which could mean one further issue, blown lamp.. sure enough bunged in a new fuse, checked lamp, and that too had indeed blown. Fortunately, I had another equivalent spare, so it's all good now.

Fired up lappie and my GS911, wow !..what a difference the new UI is, don't know if anyone has looked recently but it's a vast improvement over the original UI, clear, concise and totally uncluttered.

Reset the service prompt while I was at it. My only worry now is that's two fuses that have blow and a blown Halogen is pretty rare, it can signify a bad earth somewhere. As a safe guard, I've stashed away some fuses and tweezers in a wee bag under the main fuse box, I never usually bother carrying anything with me, but thinking the old birds showing her age now, better safe than sorry..

That new UI really is quite impressive and long overdue [emoji108]
