Hey guys,

I like to change my indicators on my bikes to led ones , just for look purposes. I haven?t had any issues previously and normally just used resistors to cancel out any warning lights. No matter what I try I can?t get it to work on my 2010 RR . The lights function properly, no fast flashing etc just get the lampF warning . At the moment the led indicators are on with no resistors and work fine except for the warning , if I use the resistor ( will attach picture ) then the leds flash fast. The bike already has led cluster tail lights fitted ( not by me ) . Is there any way to get this to work?

Cheers

You can do that for headlights in settings for track purposes, not sure about indicators tho..

Cheers Stuart. I ended up just soldering some small 12v bulbs in-line to trick the canbus, all working now but still confused why the resistors didn?t work. All good now anyway.

Lol, it?s all back together now, didn?t think of a pic!
Basically I just soldered some wire onto the positive then wire onto the negative of the 12v bulb, rapped this in heatshrink then hot glued to underside of fairing , I then soldered in-line with the new led wiring and the bike connector so you can still disconnect when removing the fairing to work on the bike.

I managed to pick up a GS-911 so cleared faults and double checked, works a treat now with no faults.

Pretty decent.. GS 911 is a handy tool ............MR 299 MPH..bet you forgot about that lol..

And by default.. look at the screen below..showing led or lamp style indicators, might just have solved that indicator issue..

Is there any update on how to remove the lamp error everytime I turn my indicators on,(without soldering 12v bulbs into the wiring) they are Oxford mini led’s, they hyper flash and I have to turn the bike off and on again to remove the (lamp) error from the dash once I’ve used the indicators my mechanic has tried various resistors and hooked it up to diagnostic machine, it’s a 2010 model so the option to remove the error through the menu isn’t available

On my Fireblade 954, I changed the relay instead of using 4 resistors.
Gen3 relay might work.

gs911 can switch ecu to LED or slick mode will generally fix it as lamp f is cancelled. btw lamp f is front pilot bulbs i believe

When I go through the menu it’s always been in slick mode but when the normal riding dash is displaying it’s in race mode, mine just writes lamp not lampf and it’s only triggered once I turn on the indicators

have you got slick plug in?
Im not sure, when I turn the ignition on the display briefly shows slick mode selected, but after that only 3 options show rain, sport and race.
The bike also had the ecu flashed by the previous owner

i think the slick plug is under the riders seat LH side front, worth checking if it's there

On the Gen3, the plug was located on the right hand side, a few cm from the back of the tank. You will know if it is installed as it has a red cap.
If you do not have it, IIRC, you can use a paper clip to make connection between the 2 contacts.

There is a ‘cylinder’ type plug under the seat but nothing plugged into it
that's the one there is a red plug needs to go in there, not sure how much a genuine one is but i'm sure you can find out easy enough, or loop it
