Is there any difference between a car H7 12v 55w bulb and one specifically for motorbikes. I ask as I was flicking through the Philips shop for new bulbs for my bike and saw Racing ones which give 150% more light, 130% light but they only show up in the car search. If you search under Moto it just offers the X-treme Vision Moto which gives 100% more light. What would be the difference. Any other ideas on a bright light from other makers.

Durability of car headlight bulbs is not consistent when transferred to motorcycles.
I've had some quicker burnout of the higher rates bulbs and would advise the 100% or 130% at most of out do much in the way of road miles

I've always used Philips x treme vision 130% in the past and had no issues. They're the original ones with less blue on the bulbs and have been in and out of several bikes and are away into wife's car for winter. Been using Osram nightbreakers lately which I'm very happy with so they're going into my car for winter. I'm either gonna use the new Philips xtreme 150 or nightbreakers laser on the bike.
Only difference I've ever noticed between bulbs advertised for bikes and car bulbs is that the bike ones only come in single packs and they bump the price up.

+1 on the 130%s mine are really bright tho HID upgrades are the next step. What could be easier than chucking a bulb in !
